Life's First Moments {Northside Hospital Fresh 48 Newborn Session}

Those first few days after your little one's arrival are a bleary-eyed whirlwind. After months of anticipation, you finally have your newborn in your arms and gaze at the tiny miracle that will forever change your life! All the details of their first few days of life are easily forgotten with the exhaustion and excitement surrounding you. A Fresh 48 session, which takes place at the hospital or place of delivery, is a relaxed, documentary style session that takes place within the first two days after your baby's delivery.

This sweet family welcomed their first baby, Stella! I arrived in the late afternoon, aiming to take advantage of the beautiful daylight that would fill their hospital room. The time at the hospital holds so many firsts in the adventure into parenthood. Various swaddles were attempted, another feeding, another checkmark on the diaper change sheet. Their sweet newborn pretty much only wanted to be held, so I took advantage of the snuggles mama and daddy shared with her. I love the moments where they're in awe of their precious girl, looking at her with an ever-present smile. They're figuring out their new role as parents. It's the start of an incredible journey, so what better way to remember it than documenting where the story begins!

A couple weeks after the session, Stella and her parents came to visit me at my home studio for their Reveal & Ordering Appointment. They selected their favorite images to print on a beautiful wood block print, an acrylic block, and a keepsake book.

Since I'm a newborn photographer in Forsyth County, I offer Fresh 48 hospital sessions at Northside Forsyth in Cumming, Northside Main in Atlanta, and Emory hospital at Johns Creek. Since many babies arrive spontaneously, I accept a limited number of Fresh 48 sessions each month to ensure I can accommodate each newborn hospital session into my calendar. It is best to schedule your session 4-8 weeks out from your due date. I offer Fresh 48 sessions as standalone sessions as well as an add on to Maternity & Newborn Sessions.
