Lake Lanier Family Reunion {Family Photographer Cumming, GA}

For many families, the opportunity to get everyone together for a family reunion is a rare blessing. Here in Forsyth County, we have the wonderful Lake Lanier, which was the vacation destination for this family reunion! They reached out to me a few months prior to their trip in their search for a local Cumming photographer who would photograph their extended family pictures.

Since the entire family is scattered all over the country, ranging from Washington to Florida, we discussed the details of their family reunion portraits over the phone. They planned the trip in celebration of Marianne’s 75th birthday and it had been 5 years since their entire family had gathered together; there have been several great-grandchildren added the years since their last reunion! I was thrilled to hear that they had arranged for extended family portraits at their last family reunion and to know how important these family pictures were to them. Their intention was to gift their mother an album of the collection of family pictures for her to be able to have.

We scheduled their family pictures on the first day of their Lake Lanier vacation to ensure sunburns and exhaustion from the busy week would be avoided. I met them at their vacation home rental that was on Lake Lanier in the morning rather than a local Cumming, GA park in order to keep things more efficient for a large family reunion. I made sure to capture various family groupings with Marianne's three sons' families. Despite the group being so large, I worked efficiently and we wrapped up the extended family pictures in just over an hour. Since we didn't have the opportunity to meet in person for their Portrait Design Consultation, I brought along some of my print product samples so the entire family could see album, canvas, and print samples of my work.

We connected again through an online meeting service for their Reveal & Ordering Appointment since the family was not local. They selected a beautiful azure leather covered album with thick, photographic pages that are protected with a UV coating for durability. Below is a video of the beautiful album they ordered!
