Newborn Canvas Gallery {North Atlanta Photographer}
Meet sweet little Nora, only 10 days old! She is welcomed by her first-time parents, who also wanted their first professional family pictures at the newborn session. I had met with Nora’s parents a couple months prior to her arrival to plan the details and colors that they wanted to include in her baby pictures. They especially were interested in having a canvas gallery in her nursery, which was decorated with some soft pink accents with neutral grays and white. Therefore, when preparing for her newborn session, I made sure to pull together blankets and wraps that would perfectly coordinate with that space.
During the complimentary Design Consultation, we also go over ways to tailor the portrait session to families. Customizing sessions through little details brings much more meaning to your portraits than exclusively using studio props in the newborn session (though I do provide them!). Through this meeting, Nora’s Mama decided to incorporate some special items that were from her late grandmother, who Nora was named after. This included some costume jewelry, which was something that she was known for! The pearls included in the image below were from the selection of jewelry that her Mama brought along.
Nora arrived to her newborn session at my Cumming, GA portrait studio wide awake, but after settling into the warm studio she fell asleep so I could pose her into those super sweet sleepy poses that mamas love! I always am thrilled when I’m able to capture the elusive newborn smile and she offered a great one to me! How precious is she?! After photographing a variety of newborn poses, we moved on to the family portraits. With first-time parents, I like to work with mama and baby first, then pull in dad, and then just dad and baby. A couple weeks after the session, I met with them again for their Reveal & Ordering Appointment to view Nora’s portraits! I assisted as they narrowed down their favorites, which I’ve shared below!
We then worked to design a canvas gallery to go over where Nora’s changing table would be in her nursery. I had grabbed some snapshots of the nursery walls while I was at their home for their Design Consultations weeks before, which I had pulled into my design software so they could get a preview of how the images would look on their very own walls.
The most exciting part of my job is hand delivering orders to my clients’ doorstep! Your portraits in the form of finished artwork like a canvas gallery or heirloom quality prints are ready to be installed and enjoyed daily rather than stuck buried in a hard drive. Many parents consider booking a newborn session in order to send out their newborn birth announcements, but taking the time to plan a wall gallery or design an album is challenging when you’re adjusting to life with a new baby! When hiring Beloved Sparrow Photography for your newborn pictures, we’ll make sure that you’re artwork is taken care of!
Thinking about booking your maternity or newborn photography session? It’s never too early! Maternity sessions take place around 32-36 weeks. Newborn sessions take place within five to fourteen days after baby’s birth. I take on a limited number of newborn commissions each month in order to ensure your newborn session is scheduled in a timely manner. It is suggested that you book your maternity and newborn photographer at the beginning of your second trimester to guarantee room on their calendar around your estimated due date. However, last minute inquiries are welcomed as well.
