Sunset River Maternity Photos {Kennesaw Pregnancy Photographer}

There are so many wonderful locations for family portraits—and even maternity portraits!— in the metro Atlanta area! While this was an absolutely beautiful waterfront location, I traveled to the outskirts of Montgomery, Alabama for this couple’s pregnancy pictures. It was late summer and we were all pretty sweaty from the humidity and, of course, the heat that comes with summer in the South! This cute little downtown had such a picturesque view of the sunset going down behind the ruins of the old mill. We were thankful to be able to get our feet wet and cool off a bit in the shallow creek.

For the pregnant mamas out there looking to schedule a maternity photo session as you prepare for your new baby’s arrival, I’d suggest reaching out to book around the end of your first trimester! Most mothers find the timeframe of their pregnancy that their showing a beautifully round belly and still comfortable is early in the third trimester—-approximately 28-32 weeks! However, if you find yourself a bit later than that timeline, do not hesitate to reach out! Pregnancy, though it doesn’t feel like it at the time, is such a short and beautiful phase in your motherhood journey and I’d love to help you celebrate that.
